Meet Tux

Meet Tux, Our GDC Mascot!

Tux is a 4-year-old pit bull-labrador mix who was adopted from the SPCA in Largo, FL. He loves long walks followed by cozy naps on the couch and his favorite snacks are carrots and peanut butter treats. Empathetic, laid-back, and a total snuggle bug, Tux has become an irreplaceable part of our family.

Tux came into our lives to be a companion for our senior dog, Enzo, who had tragically lost his brother, Audi, due to an unexpected medical event. It was a heartbreaking time for us all, and we couldn’t bear to see Enzo grieving without a friend to play with.

From the moment Tux joined us, he instantly saw Enzo as his "bruncle" (brother-uncle). At first, Enzo struggled to welcome him into his heart. Despite being an energetic, playful puppy, Tux’s persistence and loving nature eventually won Enzo over. Their bond grew strong and genuine, bringing Enzo the companionship he needed to keep moving and playing in his golden years.

Tux is the true embodiment of a rescue dog — not just rescued, but a rescuer in his own right, bringing joy, comfort, and healing to everyone around him.
